Railway

The Panama Canal Railway Company is the union of Kansas City Southern and Mi-Jack Products, and provides the service of transport by train to passengers and cargo in containers between the cities of Panama and Colon, through a concession granted by the Panamanian State by a period of 50 years. The basic function of the railway is to serve as a means of transshipment for containerized shipments between the Atlantic and Pacific ports, which do not need to be transported through the Canal. However, using the railway as a passenger gives travelers the chance to enjoy a journey through the exuberant jungle of Panama, parallel to the route of the Panama Canal.
